Expenses like income are treated differently depending on your method of accounting (cash or accrual). Cash accounting says a cost is “expensed” when you write the check to pay for it. Accrual accounting expenses the cost when the transaction occurs whether or not money is exchanged, e.g. a supplier may give you 30 days to pay your bill or you may pay your payroll/sales taxes monthly. Accrual accounting attempts to keep expenses matched up with the sale that generated it. Bills that are paid in a lump sum for the year can be accrued (spread out) each month; e.g. unemployment insurance is paid in lump sums which throws off your P&L because of the large payment.

One of the biggest ones is whether to get a fixed rate home loan or to go with a variable rate home loan. Here are some of the questions that you might have about a fixed rate home loan:
1) What is a fixed rate home loan?
It basically is what it sounds like it is. With a fixed rate home loan, the interest rate on your loan does not fluctuate. This means that the market and economy might change but the interest rate that you locked in at with your fixed rate home loan remains the same.

Fresh-squeezed Cloud Juice - That is what the sign said at Tank Town, which is the only place in the country I know of that sells bottled rain water. This is a place to the west of Dripping Springs, TX that has metal roofs to collect rainfall and tanks to store it. I love it, but there is a lot more to the story than good bottled water.

If you’ve got more than one computer at home, you may be thinking about setting up a wireless network. It can make file-sharing a breeze, with no more having to burn data onto a CD-ROM or trying to fit it all into a memory stick (or -shudder- a floppy disc!) to get it across the room. And going wireless lets you position the router in a convenient central location, without having to run wires along the baseboards or under carpets.

Bernard Hopkins just took a portion of the light heavyweight belt from Antonio Tarver in a one-sided beating in Atlantic City. Hopkins proves again that he is one of the better fighters in boxing history.
On the same night, Miguel Cotto defeated Paul Malignaggi to keep his share of the belt in the junior welterweight division in a rugged bout at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Question. How many people know these bouts took place? How many people watched this live? Overall, not many.
