Oh the joys and heartbreaks of love. No matter how old you get, you never forget what it was like. Having recently passed the mid field marker, I still remember was breaking up and making up was like. The making up part wasn’t always easy. And if I knew then what I know today, it would have been a lot easier. In this article, I’m going to share a little bit of my wisdom with you. Hopefully, it will help you to get back with your ex quickly and painlessly.
The first thing you have to understand is that people break up, many times, for reasons that go way beyond the fight that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Many times, we only look at the symptoms and don’t really examine the true cause of the breakup. So the first thing you have to do is understand why things went wrong in the first place. Until you know what’s broken, you won’t know what to fix. Make sense?
After understanding the problem, you have to truly sit down and ask yourself if this is fixable. For example, let’s take something simple. Let’s say that your ex broke up with you, after you have done all the analysis, because you smoke. Sure, they used the excuse that they don’t like kissing an ash tray and all that other stuff, but in the final analysis, they broke up with you because you smoke and they don’t want to die from inhaling second hand smoke. Can you give up smoking? It’s really that simple. If you don’t think you can, then most likely, this relationship doesn’t have a chance. You need to be realistic about the chances of fixing whatever it is that’s broken.
Should you decide that you can repair the problem, and there will be all kinds of problems, then it’s simply a matter of reassuring your ex that you are willing and able to do just that. At first, they probably won’t believe you, and that’s to be expected. So you have to make the first move. You have to make the change BEFORE they take you back. That’s right. YOU have to be the big one and show you’re serious. Once you’ve done that, your ex will see this and will be much more receptive to giving you a second shot.
