Amazingly, financial reporters still are reluctant to say the American economy is in recession (which it most obviously is). Hence when inflation fully shows its ugly face, expect housing prices to catch up with oil which already accounts for the dying dollar (a currency no longer carrying much weight with OPEC as a basket of currencies is being embraced and the Euro and yen are taking preeminence).

Contact lenses may seem like a relatively recent invention but they were actually first proposed by Leonardo da Vinci. Read on to find out more about the 500 year history of contacts.
It seems almost incredible that da Vinci first made mention of placing lenses directly onto the eyes way back in 1508 but the great man, who also famously made original designs for a helicopter, was clearly way ahead of his time.
In terms of the modern contact lens, the first such instrument that most of us would recognise was originally developed in 1888 by a physiologist from Switzerland named AE Fick. Fick used a method of taking moulds from the eye to ensure that the lens would fit perfectly.

Several years ago, the only type of outdoor post lights were public streetlights. Now, however, homeowners are using outdoor post lighting for different areas of their homes.
Outdoor post lights, a type of pole lighting, are excellent for bright illumination because they provide a type of downlighting, meaning that the light comes from above and is cast downward. Just as streetlights cast light on the road, home outdoor pole lighting is used to cast light on driveways, home entrances, and landscaping.

When a change in your personal circumstances drives you to sell your home, the question most commonly asked is “Can I sell it myself?”
The answer is a resounding YES! And there is good reason if not just apart from being more profitable, to do it.
Two main reasons that make you consider selling your home by yourselves are:
1. To save on realtor commissions. When you sell your property through a realtor or estate agent, a chunk of that money (profit) goes to the realtor as their commission. However there is a general feeling that many realtors do not deserve or even work for you, in order to earn the money.

“If you’ve started looking into getting a home loan, you’ve probably already discovered that there are a number of decisions to be made. One of the biggest ones is whether to get a fixed rate home loan or to go with a variable rate home loan. Here are some of the questions that you might have about a fixed rate home loan:
1) What is a fixed rate home loan?
It basically is what it sounds like it is. With a fixed rate home loan, the interest rate on your loan does not fluctuate. This means that the market and economy might change but the interest rate that you locked in at with your fixed rate home loan remains the same.

When I was little and ran away from home
I ran under the pine rows up on the ridge.
Those Evergreen Heights of ours.
They all have white pine disease now.
It breaks my heart. The dead branches.
“That’s the tree I sang on as a boy,” Pop says,
on our stroll that has become an inspection walk.
The branch is a beauty,
a low curving upward horse of a branch.
Great Grandpa E. A. Riehl planted these pines.
Grandma Annie named her poems after them.
On the Heights.
God’s heights were the heights she came to know here,
seated underneath these evergreens
on the ridge overlooking the Mississippi.
